The Momofuku Dynasty is an entity that is definitely NOT over-rated! The creativity and passion for food that David Chang has and presents to his diners is awe-inspiring. That is why the expansion of his restaurants keeps us yearning for more. The dining options at Milk Bar, Ssam Bar, Noodle Bar, Ko and Ma Peche keep diners guessing what oral fixation David Chang will create next!
My favorite and a favorite of many New Yorker’s is the Milk Bar. Milk bar has the best pastry chefs in the city creating unique pairings that move your soul. Everything is like crack! No matter who you ask they have their favorites, and refuse to believe that anything else could be as good. But EVERYTHING they have is THAT GOOD! The Cereal Milk is a trend setter. I myself prefer the compost cookie, the blueberry and cream cookie, the crack pie and the truffles just melt in your mouth. That is why it’s a big deal that Milk Bar has always kept the downtown folk abreast of the awesomeness that is Milk Bar, and has now decided to let the upper west siders enjoy what we have so long wanted to keep to ourselves.
After opening this summer to much fanfare in Williamsburg at 382 Metropolitan Ave. and releasing their first go at pastries, which now consistently sell out. They have now opened in the upper west side at 561 Columbus Ave and will be adding breakfast sandwiches to the mix. With a larger seating area I will definitely make the trip to sit and indulge in the abundance of joy that Milk Bar dishes out.
