Pizza credited with convincing suicidal man not to jump off bridge!

I KNEW PIZZA COULD SAVE LIVES!

According to the Post & Courier during morning traffic a man pulled his car over on the Ravenel Bridge in South Carolina. The man stepped across the barrier, paced back and forth and threatened to jump into the Cooper River. While on the bridge, minutes became hours and the man became thirsty and hungry in the hot sun. Police who were on scene brought him pizza from Andolini’s and some water. Within in minutes of receiving his slice, the man was taken into custody and transported to the hospital for treatment.

The Police say that it just happened that after the man was given the pizza they were able to get him off the ledge.

I vehemently DISAGREE! Pizza soothes the soul and this is just one more example of the powers of cheese, tomato sauce and crust.

Next question would be…where can I get a slice like that?

That remains to be known. But Di Fara’s in BK comes pretty close.

Happy Eats!
